Het is bijna niet te geloven dat Bark & Play al twee volle jaren bestaat. Wat we echt heel bijzonder vinden is dat er ook nog altijd nieuwe pups en baasjes bij komen. Zijn we natuurlijk heel erg blij mee! Afgelopen editie was er zelfs een reporter van NRC bij ons om over ons te schrijven.
Ook bijzonder was dat een van onze favoriete pups er weer eens was: Gizmo!

Oh, hey, als ik op knopjes druk krijg ik letters!Gizmo was eindelijk weer eens aanwezig bij de Bark & Play! Ik ben er niet vaak, maar kan het altijd enorm goed vinden met de hele puppy bende. Wat mij altijd nog kostbaar is is de hechtheid die we onder elkaar voelen, en daarmee hoe goed het is als je elkaar (weer) in het echt ziet om gezellig met elkaar te spelen. Erg veel tijd nemen om alle pups te begroeten doet niet misstaan, en nog heb ik er een paar gemist. Foei Gizmo. Maar het zijn dan ook zo veel puppies!
Gizmo heeft eigenlijk best weinig tijd besteed aan het spelen. Balletje overrollen en spelen en stuiteren op de squeaky toys. En een pup gekieteld, want dat hoort er ook bij. Maar ook veel gepraat, en presentjes uitgewisseld met een (voor mij) nieuwe pup. Zo heb ik een aandenken aan deze Bark & Play, in de vorm van een prachtige puppy-knuffel afbeelding met m’n lieve Scooby.
Gizmo is niet mee geweest met het frietjes-eet gedeelte van de avond. Anders zou ik niet op tijd in m’n mandje terecht komen voor welverdiende slaapjes. Maar Gizmo heeft weer erg genoten, en kijkt weer enorm uit naar de volgende keer dat ik alle pups weer kan knuffelen.

Bark & Play 3.1: a fine start to our third year
We can hardly believe that Bark & Play has been around for two years. We’re so excited that new pups and handlers still keep finding us and come to play. So happy about that! We even had a reporter from a national newspaper visit us this time.
And one of our favourite pups paid us a visit: Gizmo!

Oh, hey, when I touch buttons it makes letters appear!At long last, Gizmo was present at the Bark & Play once again! I’m not in attendence every time, but I always enjoy being part of the puppy bunch. What’s always precious to me is the bonds we feel among us, and that makes it feel really good to see each other again in real life for both chatting and playing. Taking sufficient time to greet and catch up with all the pups is important. And still I managed to miss a number of them. Bad Gizmo! But then again, it’s so many puppies!
Gizmo hasn’t even spent all that much time playing. Hitting the ball around and playing and pouncing on squeaky toys. And tickled a pup, because of course we do. But also done quite some talking, catching up, and exchanging gifts with a new (for me) puppy, giving me a great keepsake to remember this Bark & Play by in the form of a printed picture of me embracing my dear Scooby.
Gizmo didn’t join the rest of the pups for post-play puppy snacks. If I had, I would not have crept into my blanky-fortress in time for my sleepies. But Gizmo has really enjoyed himself again, and I look forward to the next time when I get to cuddle all the pups all over again.
